1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
Personal information refers to any information recorded electronically or by other means that can, either alone or in combination with other information, identify a specific natural person or reflect the activities of a specific natural person. Mipmap will collect and use your personal information solely for the purposes outlined in this policy.
1.1 User Registration. To complete account creation, you may be required to provide Mipmap with the following information: your mobile phone number, email address, username, and password. During the registration process or after account creation, providing additional information such as your name, date of birth, gender, location, and occupation will enable us to deliver enhanced services and user experiences. Failure to provide this additional information will not affect your ability to use the basic functions of Mipmap products and services.
1.2 Product and Service Procurement. When purchasing Mipmap products or services, to facilitate successful transaction completion, you may be required to provide your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, identification number, bank card number, and other identity, payment, and delivery information necessary for order processing. Without this information, you will be unable to purchase Mipmap products and services.
1.3 Product and Service Usage. During your use of Mipmap products or services, to ensure proper functionality of relevant features, you may be required to provide device configuration information, shared text or images, log records, IP addresses accessing our products or services, timestamp information, and other operational data. If you decline to provide such information, we may be unable to deliver the corresponding services; however, this will not affect your access to other Mipmap product and service functionalities.
1.4 Service Quality Enhancement. To improve your service experience, enhance service quality, mitigate risks, or recommend more suitable services, we collect information you provide when contacting our customer service team, as well as data regarding the types and methods of services you utilize and your operational patterns when using our services.
1.5 Research and Development. We may invite you to participate in Mipmap's product improvement program to assist in designing new products and services or enhancing existing offerings. With your consent, we may collect diagnostic data, usage analytics, device identification numbers, device type, account information, and other relevant data for product and service analysis and research purposes. Declining to participate in the product improvement program will not impact your access to Mipmap products or services.
1.6 Safeguarding national, public, and your or others' interests. You fully understand that in the following circumstances, we have the right to collect and use your personal information without your authorization and consent: related to national security and national defense security; related to public safety, public health, and major public interests; related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments; for the protection of your or others' life, property, and other major legitimate rights and interests but it is difficult to obtain your consent; the personal information collected is disclosed to the public by yourself; personal information collected from legally disclosed information, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure, etc.; necessary for signing a contract at your request; necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the products and/or services provided; necessary for legitimate news reporting; related to our fulfillment of legal obligations; and other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
The above information you provide will be continuously authorized for our use during your use of Mipmap products and services. When you cancel your account, we will stop using and delete the above information. If laws and regulations require a different retention period for information, we will comply with the provisions of laws and regulations.
2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
2.1 Cookies
To ensure proper website functionality, we store small data files called Cookies on your computer or mobile device. Cookies typically contain identifiers, site names, and alphanumeric characters. We share information with suppliers, service providers, and partners who support our business operations, including technical infrastructure services, transaction and communication services (such as payment processing, logistics, SMS, and email services), service usage analytics, customer support, payment facilitation, and academic research and surveys.
We enter into strict confidentiality agreements with all companies, organizations, and individuals with whom we share personal information, requiring them to process personal information in accordance with our instructions, this privacy policy, and all other applicable confidentiality and security measures.
3.2 Transfer
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except under the following circumstances:

For example, we employ encryption technology to ensure data confidentiality; implement protection mechanisms to prevent malicious attacks; deploy access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel can access personal data; and conduct security and privacy protection training to enhance employee awareness of personal data protection importance. While we strive to protect your personal data to the fullest extent, please note that no security measures are infallible.
We will retain your personal data for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, unless an extended retention period is required or permitted by law. Because the storage period may vary depending on different scenarios and products and services, the criteria we use to determine the retention period include: the time required to retain personal data to complete the business purpose, including providing products and services, maintaining relevant transaction and business records, controlling and improving product and service performance and quality, ensuring the security of systems, products, and services, responding to possible user inquiries or complaints, problem location, etc.; whether the user agrees to a longer retention period; whether there are special requirements for data retention by law, contract, etc. As long as your account is necessary to provide you with services, we will retain your registration information. You can also choose to cancel your account. 5.2 Rectification Rights. When you discover that personal information we process about you is inaccurate, you have the right to request correction of your personal information.
5.3 Deletion Rights. If our collection and use of personal information violates applicable laws and regulations or breaches our agreement with you, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
5.4 Account Deactivation Rights.

In the following circumstances, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, we will not be able to respond to your request: directly related to national security and national defense security; directly related to public safety, public health, and major public interests; directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments; there is sufficient evidence to show that you have subjective malice or abuse of rights; responding to your request will cause serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals or organizations; for the protection of your or other individuals' life, property, and other major legitimate rights and interests but it is difficult to obtain your authorization and consent; involving trade secrets; related to our fulfillment of legal obligations.
6. How We Handle Children's Personal Information
Our products, websites, and services are primarily intended for adults. Children may not create user accounts without parental or guardian consent. When we collect children's personal information with parental consent, we will use or disclose such information only as permitted by law, with explicit parental or guardian consent, or as necessary for child protection. Continued use of Mipmap products and services after policy updates take effect constitutes acknowledgment that you have fully read, understood, and accepted the updated policy and agree to be bound by its terms.
8. Data Collection Classification and Consent Mechanisms
We categorize data collection into two distinct categories:
8.1 Essential Data Collection (Essential Telemetry)
Legal Basis: Contractual performance and legitimate interests. Consent Requirements: Clear notification when using software, no additional consent required but requires transparent disclosure. Data Scope: SDK version information, Session identifiers (anonymized), Reconstruction success/failure status, Basic timestamps. Purpose: Essential for software operation, error diagnosis, immediate troubleshooting.
8.2 Product Experience Improvement Data Collection (Analytics Telemetry)
Legal Basis: Explicit user consent. Consent Requirements: Requires active user opt-in. Data Scope: Hardware specifications (excluding serial numbers - CPU model, GPU model, memory usage), Processing parameters (Output format selections, resolution levels, and other processing parameter options), Performance data (Reconstruction task timing information), Geographic location (Country and region level only). Retention Period: 2 years. Purpose: Product functionality improvement, performance optimization, user experience enhancement. User Control: Can be enabled/disabled at any time in software settings.
8.3 Data Anonymization Measures:
8.3.1 Hardware information does not retain original hardware serial numbers (all serial number-related data is processed using hash algorithms)
8.3.2 Does not collect file paths/project content/specific geographic coordinates
8.3.3 Session identifiers are anonymized and cannot be linked to specific users
8.3.4 Does not store complete IP addresses
9. Data Storage Location Specifications
To ensure the security and privacy of your data, the MipMap platform implements localized data storage based on the account's selected region. The following outlines the data storage server locations for each region:
9.1 North America Region (NA)
All data from North America users is stored in local data centers within the United States.
9.2 European Union Region (EU)
All data from EU users is stored in data centers within the European Union.
9.3 China Region (CN)
All data from China users is stored in data centers within China.
